The Genesis Invitational is one of the PGA Tour’s marquee stops, a limited-field event hosted by Tiger Woods at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. Born in 1926 as the Los Angeles Open, it carries deep history and a reputation for identifying elite ball strikers. Riviera’s George C. Thomas Jr. design, with Kikuyu rough, a strategic, drivable 10th, and a dramatic amphitheater 18th, sets a pure shot-making test and a stunning stage for fans. Slotted early in the season, the tournament regularly attracts a star-packed field and offers a high purse and crucial FedExCup points. Expect crisp coastal mornings, hillside viewpoints, and a lively L.A. energy as contenders chase a trophy that sits alongside some of the game’s most prestigious titles.
