Founded in 1909 in Troy, Alabama, Troy Trojans Football blends small-town pride with big-stage bite. The Trojans rose from Division II power, claiming national titles in 1984 and 1987, to a Sun Belt force with championships across 2006 to 2010 and recent title-game wins in 2022 and 2023. Notable bowl moments include the 2017 New Orleans Bowl victory and a headline-grabbing upset at LSU in 2017.

Legends like DeMarcus Ware and program-builder Larry Blakeney set the tone. Every fall, the Battle for the Belt with South Alabama stirs the state. Game day at Veterans Memorial Stadium, known as The Vet, is loud and welcoming. The Sound of the South drives the energy, the Trojan Walk links team and town, and tailgating wraps the campus. It is the kind of atmosphere where new fans quickly feel like family.
