Founded in 1995 in Kansas City, Sporting Kansas City emerged from the Wizards era to become a model MLS club. The trophy case tells the story: MLS Cup champions in 2000 and 2013, the 2000 Supporters’ Shield, and U.S. Open Cup titles in 2004, 2012, 2015, and 2017. Consistent playoff pushes and a homegrown core have kept the Blue and Indigo in the conversation every season.

Iconic moments abound, from Tony Meola backstopping the 2000 title to Aurelien Collin’s MVP display in the frigid 2013 final. Club legends like Preki, Graham Zusi, and Matt Besler helped shape a fearless identity. At Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas, the Cauldron turns matchday into the Blue Hell, with a tight canopy and wall-to-wall chanting that keeps the energy high and every fan close to the action.
