Born in 1910 in Canyon, Texas, West Texas A&M Buffaloes football blends small-town pride with big-moment pedigree. The Buffs have claimed 11 conference titles across the Border, Alamo, Missouri Valley and Lone Star ranks and notched memorable bowl triumphs, including Sun Bowl wins in 1951 and 1962 and the 1967 Pasadena Bowl. Legends like Mercury Morris and Duane Thomas carried the maroon and white into national conversations.
