Founded in 1872 in New Haven, the Yale Bulldogs Football program helped shape college football’s DNA. Guided early by Walter Camp, the Bulldogs piled up numerous national championships in the sport’s formative years and have added multiple Ivy League titles in the modern era. Fans still talk about the 29-29 tie with Harvard in 1968, a moment that cemented the intensity of The Game, played every November.

Home Saturdays unfold inside the 1914 Yale Bowl, a pioneering concrete oval where tailgating sprawls across tree-lined fields and Handsome Dan greets generations of fans. The Yale Precision Marching Band fuels a lively student section, while traditions old and new create a welcoming, authentic gameday vibe. Whether it is The Game or a crisp October matchup, this is Ivy League football at its most inviting.
