PNC Park Information

PNC Park is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is home to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The ballpark opened in 2001 and is considered to be one of the best ballparks operating in the country. PNC Park is named after the local PNC financial services that purchased the right for name on 1998. It has the capacity of 38,496 fans.

PNC Park was built with a classic style but at the same time having new features installed as well such as using limestone. Other features of the park are 24 by 42 foot, first ever LED video boards by Sony JumboTron. An out of town score board is also available to keep fans outside updated which gives current information about score, count, innings, base runner and number of outs. A sports designer based in Kansas City designed the $216 million stadium.

In 2003, the Pittsburgh Panthers and Duquesne Dukes started the annual tradition of  "City Game." PNC Park also hosted the 77th Major league All-Star Game in July 2006. PNC Park has also hosted many entertainment events like concerts of The Rolling Stones and Pearl Jam in 2005. PNC Park also has many local eateries as well as 'all you can eat' section.
