Turner Field is home to the Atlanta Braves, and it has been since 1997. It was completed in 1996 for the purpose of serving as a centerpiece in the Summer Olympics of 1996. The stadium contains 3 party suites and 59 luxury suites. The residents of the Atlanta gave number of suggestions for the name of the stadium but Hank Aaron was the most popular among them.

While the stadium was used for the 1996 Summer Olympics it had a capacity of 85,000 seats however when it was converted into a ballpark the north-end of the stadium was permanently removed. Now it has the capacity to seat 49,000 fans.

The stadium was first renovated in time for the baseball season of 2005. There were many significant changes made which included video display that had a cost of $10 million. This investment made its way into the Guinness Book of World Records under the category of the largest HD video board in the world. After the installation of HD video display in the Turner Field many other stadiums and fields around the world followed suite and installed it.

The stadium has conducted many high attendance games. One of the highest attendance games that have been conducted in this stadium till the date was held on 21st July 2007 with 53,953 fans in attendance. The game was between the Braves and St. Louis Cardinals. Turner Field is used mostly for Braves home games.
