Concerts at Citi Field

In Flushing, N.Y., Citi Field most often serves as home to the New York Mets, but in the spring and summer the stadium comes alive with concerts from a range of the world’s top pop, rock, and country artists, as well as the Governors Ball music festival. In years past, Citi Field concert headliners have included everyone from Dead and Company and Paul McCartney to Beyonce, Zac Brown Band, Dave Matthews Band, and many more.

This season, a new roster of talented solo artists and bands will set up shop at Citi Field for a number of summer concerts. You can jump to the bottom of this page for a full schedule of Citi Field concerts 2019. Otherwise, continue reading for more details on the Citi Field seating chart.

Citi Field Seating Chart

The Citi Field seating chart for concerts mostly follows the standard layout for baseball games. The stage will be set up in the far outfield, so any seats located behind the stage are generally not available for live music. Also, for concerts at Citi Field the field is usually opened to fans as an additional seating area that gets you up closer to the stage than the standard stadium seating options.

Citi Field Seating Views

Depending on your seats, your view across the stadium can vary greatly. Since Citi Field is able to hold more than 40,000 fans, you can imagine that the stage will look a lot different if you’re sitting in the 500 Level than it will from the field.

Scroll through this post and see videos taken from different areas of the Citi Field seating chart to have a better idea of what you’ll see wherever you decide to sit.

Citi Field - Field Level Seating Views

Seeing Citi Field concerts from the actual Field Level is a really special experience. Not only will you be watching your favorite musicians perform up close, but you’ll also be watching the show from one of the great American ballparks. Some concert seating at Citi Field will offer Pit Level seats, which are standing-room-only areas that jut up against the stage.

Most shows offer reserved seating on the Field Level, which will generally extend from the front of the stage back to the infield. None of the Field Level seating is tiered, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you have any shorter guests or small kids in your party.

Citi Field - 100-200 Level Seating Views

The 100 Level is just steps off the field, and it’s the first area that offers reserved tiered seating for Citi Field concerts. If you want to sit in a stadium seat but be as close as possible to the stage, the 100 Level is the best option for you. Note that the venue sometimes leaves the protective netting up for concerts, so seats immediately behind home plate may have the netting directly in their line of vision.

Citi Field - 300 Level Seating Views

The midway point of Citi Field seating is the 300 Level. These seats offer the best of both worlds: Generally less expensive than the Field level seats, the 300 Level also lets you get close to the stage without sitting very high up in the stadium.

Citi Field - 400-500 Level Seating Views

The last levels available for Citi Field concerts are the 400 and 500 Levels. Though you’ll be farthest from the stage if you choose to sit here, most performers will equip the stage with giant LED screens so you can see from the upper area of the stadium. These are usually the most affordable seats available for live shows at the venue since they’re farthest from all the action, but the sound is still excellent from these higher areas.
