Helstar are a Houston-born heavy metal institution, pairing speed, precision, and drama since the early 1980s. Led by vocalist James Rivera and guitarist Larry Barragan, the band fuses power metal fire with thrash intensity and twin-guitar intricacy. Landmark releases like "Burning Star," "Remnants of War," "A Distant Thunder," and the vampiric concept album "Nosferatu" showcase soaring vocals, razor riffs, and cinematic storytelling, later rekindled on "This Wicked Nest" and "Vampiro." Onstage, Helstar deliver an all-killer set that stretches across decades, packing technical fireworks and a loyal cult energy that turns every room into a headbanger's haven.
