The Circuit Playhouse brings Memphis audiences up close to today’s performers at 51 Cooper St in Midtown’s Overton Square Theatre District. Part of the Playhouse on the Square family, this intimate room is designed for crisp sightlines and natural acoustics, creating a smart setting for comedy, new plays, and special events. Modern lighting and a tight stage put comics and storytellers just steps from the front row, so every setup and punch lands with energy; the room rewards sharp timing, crowd work, and deft callbacks.
Programming ranges from sharp stand-up and fast-paced improv to sketch showcases and solo sets, plus short runs that give rising voices a spotlight. Locals love the comfortable seats and friendly staff, while touring acts appreciate the attentive tech crew and quick changeovers that keep sets moving.
Plan your night with easy access to garages and street parking, accessible seating options, and a cluster of restaurants and bars within a short walk on Cooper and Madison. Whether you are chasing a belly laugh or a thought-provoking evening, The Circuit Playhouse delivers a polished, welcoming experience in the heart of Memphis.
