Miller Park Information

Miller Park opened in 2001 and was replacing Milwaukee County Stadium. It is a ballpark located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is home to the Milwaukee Brewers. Miller Brewer Company has a contract of $40 million with the stadium until 2020. Although the park is famous for many things, it is most commonly noted for its fan-shaped roof that is retractable. The fans of the roof are made of glass to allow the sunlight through and ensure that the grass grows naturally. It has the capacity to accommodate 42,200 fans.

A special design competition was held among many designing companies in 1990. The NBBJ's Sports and Entertainment team, based in Los Angeles, won the architectural concept of the stadium.

The Brewer fans are known for their habit of enjoying grill food, drinks and music prior to the game and for this reason many tailgate party scenes have been noted in the parking lot of the stadium before the game starts. Fans from all over the Midwest come to Miller Park to enjoy this unique atmosphere.

Many other special attractions have also been created for the fans which includes The Klement's Sausage Race in the middle of the 6th inning, Bernie Brewer, Singing of songs like “Beer Barrel Polka” and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in the seventh inning stretch. In addition to all of these great MLB attractions, Miller Park holds concerts and other events as well.
