Blackmore's Night is a Renaissance-inspired folk rock group founded by Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Candice Night. Drawing on Blackmore’s electric virtuosity and Night’s luminous vocals, the band blends courtly melodies with modern storytelling, weaving lutes, hurdy-gurdy, recorders, and acoustic guitars into pastoral soundscapes. Their concerts often feel like a journey through time, with period attire, candlelit ambience, and audience singalongs that turn historic halls and theaters into living taverns.

Beloved releases such as “Shadow of the Moon,” “Under a Violet Moon,” “Fires at Midnight,” and “Nature’s Light” showcase nimble fingerstyle guitar, lilting harmonies, and melodies that sparkle whether amplified or purely acoustic.
