Character Assassination Tickets
Character Assassination is a sharp, in-character roast series born in Louisville in December 2011, created by Will Hardesty and Raanan Hershberg. An ad hoc troupe with roots in Louisville and Chicago, the show features comics like Kent Carney, Mandee McKelvey, and Sean Keller stepping into the skins of historical and fictional figures to land precision burns. The result is part sketch, part roast, all high-wire timing.
Expect pop icons, legends, and villains trading barbs from a podium as if they wandered out of a fever dream, a format they have sharpened at Louisville rooms such as The Bard's Town and Planet of the Tapes. Past themes have ranged from musicians to cult favorites, including one unforgettable "Roast of John Lennon."
