Paul Mecurio is an Emmy and Peabody award-winning comedian and writer whose sharp, conversational style was forged at "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and honed nightly as the audience warm-up at "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." A Providence native and former Wall Street lawyer and investment banker, he channels real-world experience into quick, revealing crowd work and smart, playful detours.

He created "Permission to Speak," the off-Broadway hit directed by Frank Oz, where audience members share unscripted stories that he shapes into laughs and unexpected moments of connection. His sets feel intimate and fearless, with curiosity driving each exchange and punch line landing with precision.
