The Unexpected 3rd Tickets
"The Unexpected 3rd" is a candid, laugh-out-loud solo show written by and starring Kathryn Grody, directed by Timothy Near. With quicksilver wit and a documentarian eye, Grody opens the door to her third act, exploring what it means to become not quite old, but elder. She threads stories of memory, family, artistry, and a changing world into a tightly paced evening that lands equal parts catharsis and comedy.
At 79, the award-winning actor turns vulnerability into connection, inviting audiences to recognize themselves in the zigzag of growing older. The result is intimate, sharp, and unexpectedly joyful, delivered with the warmth of a born storyteller.
