Theatresports Improv Comedy Tickets
Theatresports Improv Comedy Tickets
Theatresports Improv Comedy is the fast, competitive side of improv: teams of quick-thinking performers face off in a series of short challenges built from audience suggestions, with points awarded by judges or the crowd. Created by director and teacher Keith Johnstone in Calgary in the late 1970s, the format took root at Loose Moose Theatre and spread worldwide under the stewardship of the International Theatresports Institute. Today, flagship ensembles keep the tradition sharp with weekly shows, from Unexpected Productions at Seattle’s Market Theater to The Improv Centre on Granville Island in Vancouver. Expect smart scene work, playful fouls, and a host who keeps the energy high and the clock honest.
