Mets 2023 Opening Day

The Mets will begin the season on March 30 with a game at LoanDepot Park against the Miami Marlins. The Mets home opener will be on April 6.

Mets Promotional/Giveaway Schedule for 2023

Typically, the Mets give out team magnetic schedules on Opening Day to kick off a slew of promotional/giveaway nights, including Star Wars night (a May 4th bobblehead giveaway night) and Bark at the Park, a night where fans can bring dogs in certain sections of Citi Field.

In the past, the team has also hosted Seinfeld Night, where the team gave away bobbleheads of famous Mets fan and comedian Jerry Seinfeld. In 2023, don't be surprised to see the Mets host a healthcare workers/nurse appreciation night, as well as a day dedicated to recognizing first responders.

Bobbleheads, scarves and T-shirts are other common items on the Mets promotional calendar.

Mets Sunday Afternoon Scheduled Games

As with most MLB teams, the Mets have mostly night games. For families with young children, day games can offer the opportunity to watch the Mets and still make it home before evening.

Mets Saturday Games on 2022 Schedule

Like Sunday afternoon games, Saturday afternoon games are desirable options for many fans. However, many teams have been moving away from Saturday afternoon games in favor of Saturday night games.

There are still several opportunities for fans to catch the Mets at Citi FIeld on a Saturday afternoon during the 2022 season.
