DMB Tour 2016
Each year, like clockwork, Dave Matthews Band fans are treated to a fresh array of tour dates typically scheduled during the summer months. While such will again be the case for 2016, which also marks the band’s 25th anniversary, it also will be the last chance to catch DMB live until at least 2018.
Along with the Dave Matthews Band tour 2016 announcement on Jan. 25 came word that the rockers will be taking a break in 2017, a first for the group since 2011. However, as many have been quick to note, the hiatus reveal is similar to the one from five years ago, which ultimately still included summer concerts, just not “tour dates.” It remains to be seen whether that will be the case once again, so in the meantime, fans should take advantage of the chance to catch Dave Matthews Band on tour in 2016.
Like they’ve done the past two summers, the DMB tour 2016 will again feature two full sets, one electric and one acoustic, without an opening act.
The trek will kick off from Wichita, Kan., on May 11 and conclude in traditional fashion at the Gorge Amphitheatre over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2-4. Along the way, Dave Matthews Band will make many of its usual stops including Riverbend Music Center (May 20), Blossom Music Center (May 21), PNC Music Pavilion (May 27), Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion (June 8), Nikon at Jones Beach Theater (June 21), Alpine Valley (July 1-2), Saratoga Performing Arts Center (July 15-16), Klipsch Music Center (July 22-23), among many others.
