Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull Reveal Details of Co-Headlining Tour
After the success of Enrique Iglesias’ 2014 single “I’m a Freak,” he and collaborator Pitbull announced a co-headlining tour for the fall. The two Latin music stars previously hit the road together in 2011 after the duo’s first collaboration in 2010, “I Like It.” The upcoming fall tour is expected to stop in more than 15 cities from Sept. 12-Oct. 25.
The Monster Tour to Bring Eminem and Rihanna Together in August
One month before Pitbull and Enrique’s tour kicks off, another duo, Rihanna and Eminem, will launch The Monster Tour. As of May 1, the venture only includes six dates in three cities, but the venues are all massive stadiums: the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. (Aug. 7-8), MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. (Aug.16-17), and Comerica Park in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit (Aug. 22-23).
Summer Stadium Concerts Ahead for Zac Brown Band
On April 25, Zac Brown Band confirmed that it would make its headlining concert debut at Wrigley Field, Chicago’s iconic, ivy-covered stadium that’s celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The announcement came in the wake of two previously confirmed ZBB shows for Boston’s Fenway Park, set for June 27-28. With this exciting news, Zac Brown Band joins an illustrious list of country artists on tap to perform in stadiums around the country this summer, including Blake Shelton, who also will be playing Wrigley in July.
Eric Church Announces The Outsiders World Tour Dates
Eric Church dropped his fourth studio album, The Outsiders, in February, and on April 9, he confirmed plans to support the release during a three-month tour around North America. Though Church will be performing at many festivals this summer, The Outsiders World Tour doesn’t start until Sept. 11 in Bossier City, La., and will close Dec. 13 at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Ala.
First Solo U.S. Tour Dates in Store for Ed Sheeran
After touring North America as the opening act for Taylor Swift’s Red Tour in 2013, Ed Sheeran will return in 2014 to perform in more than a dozen cities for his first headlining tour in the U.S. and Canada. The singer-songwriter, who was nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s GRAMMY Awards, will be supporting his sophomore album, x, during the tour, which will last from Aug. 22-Sept. 18.
Coldplay to Play Three Shows in the U.S. in May
Another British import, Coldplay, also will be returning to the U.S. in May in support of its new album Ghost Stories. So far, Chris Martin and company have only revealed shows in a pair of stateside cities, including two concerts at New York’s Beacon Theatre on May 5, followed by one show at Royce Hall in Los Angeles on May 19. The band’s album is due out later this month, but its lead single, “Magic,” was released in March and has since become an international hit.
Kings of Leon Add Summer/Fall Leg to Mechanical Bull Tour
After a well-received spring leg, Kings of Leon will be heading back out on the road starting in July for a second North American leg for its latest tour promoting the 2013 album, Mechanical Bull. The new dates will extend through Oct. 5 and include stops at notable venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. (Sept. 24) and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (Oct. 3).
