With a new album on the way, Zac Brown Band has ensured that fans will get a live listen this year as on March 5 the band announced dates for its 2015 Jekyll + Hyde Tour. Named after the forthcoming record due out on April 28, Zac Brown Band’s summer venture will feature a mix of indoor arenas, music festivals, outdoor amphitheaters, and stadiums (like a return trip to Wrigley Field) throughout its May-September run.
Just ahead of the tour’s launch, the group will make an appearance at Fort Lauderdale’s Tortuga Music Festival, April 11-12, before making way to Nashville to officially open the venture at Bridgestone Arena on May 1. The venue will be one of the few indoor sites used on the Jekyll + Hyde Tour, as ZBB will then head to Raleigh for a show at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre (May 7), followed by a pair of nights in its home state of Georgia at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta (May 8-9).
Notable music festival appearances on tap along the way include May 15-17 at Hangout in Gulf Shores, Ala., as well as Jacksonville’s Florida Country Superfest (June 13), Milwaukee’s Summerfest (June 28), and the inaugural KAABOO Music Festival in Del Mar, Calif. (Sept. 18-20).
Stadium stops will kick in roughly mid-way through the tour beginning with a July 3 concert at Coors Field in Denver. Other ballparks scheduled to host Zac Brown Band in 2015 include Fenway Park (Aug. 7-8), Nationals Park (Aug. 14), Citizens Bank Park (Aug. 15), Citi Field (Aug. 21), Wrigley Field (Sept. 11), and Comerica Park (Sept. 12).
Just two days following the announcement, Zac Brown Band will make its Saturday Night Live debut featuring the live premiere of the album’s lead single, “Homegrown,” which was released on Jan. 12 and has reached as high as No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart as of March 5.
