Mary J. Blige announces co-headlining 2019 North American tour with Nas.
The 22-date trek will take Mary J. Blige and Nas across the United States and Canada this summer into the fall. The tour is set to kick off July 5 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. Tour stops include Charlotte’s PNC Music Pavilion, Virginia Beach’s Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater, Austin’s Austin360 Amphitheater, and Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion. The tour is set to conclude September 10 at the popular Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada.
R&B singer Mary J. Blige will embark on her 2019 tour this summer, following the release of her latest single, “Only Love,” released July 2018. The multitalented Bronx native has been working on various projects from her most recent beloved character, Cha-Cha on Netflix’s new series The Umbrella Academy to her upcoming appearance on the classic horror film Scream.
According to W Magazine, Blige is set to release her 14th studio album, My Life II... There's Something About Me, My Self & MaryJane (Act 2), later this year. Fans can expect to hear new music as well as her classic hits from, “No More Drama,” to “Sweet Thing,” on her upcoming 2019 tour.
New York City native Nas will kick off his co-headlining tour with his latest album, Nasir, released June 2018. His 12th studio album was jam-packed with hits from, “Cops Shot the Kid,” featuring Kanye West and “Adam and Eve,” featuring The-Dream. The chart-topping album peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard 200 and reached at No. 3 on the UK R&B Albums OCC charts.
Earlier this month Nas took to social media to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his iconic hip-hop album, I Am....
I Am… included various smash hits from “Nas Is Like,” to “Hate Me Now,” featuring Puff Daddy and “You Won’t See Me Tonight,” featuring Aaliyah. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 before becoming a global sensation.
