It’s almost time to celebrate the arrival of 2016, and there’s no better way to ring in the New Year than seeing a concert from one of your favorite performers. There are plenty of exciting shows to choose from this year, as artists across the U.S. will be looking to amp up the holiday spirit with celebratory live performances.
From coast to coast, here are our top picks for New Year’s Eve concerts 2016.

Bassnectar | Legacy Arena at The BJCC, Birmingham, Ala.
Bassheads around the country will flock to Birmingham, Ala., this New Year’s Eve to celebrate the end of 2015 with Bassnectar. This will be Bassnectar’s first solo headlining set at The BJCC, and the world-renowned DJ and his devoted fans are sure to make this one of the most energetic of all New Year’s Eve concerts.
Jimmy Buffett | Barclays Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.
In spite of the New York winter, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center will feel like a tropical paradise this December when laid-back legend Jimmy Buffett swings in for a New Year’s Eve concert. On Dec. 31, the “Margaritaville” singer will lighten the mood at the arena with a setlist of beach-ready songs.
Dead and Company | L.A. Forum, Inglewood, Calif.
The latest Grateful Dead side project, Dead and Company, will finally make its way to Los Angeles at the end of the year for two shows at the L.A. Forum. Featuring legends Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart alongside Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, and John Mayer, Dead and Company offer a star-packed evening of non-stop jams.
Celine Dion | Caesars Palace, Las Vegas
Celine Dion returned to her Las Vegas residency this August. As part of her latest run at Caesars Palace, the star will deliver back-to-back concerts on Dec. 30-31. The powerhouse vocalist continues to amaze her fans with a selection of cover songs and her own iconic hits, including “My Heart Will Go On.”
Billy Joel | BB&T Center, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
For the first time in his career, Billy Joel will ring in the New Year in southern Florida. For one night only on Dec. 31, Joel will headline the BB&T Center with an evening of his career highlights, including chart-topping hits alongside a handful of deep cuts.
Motley Crue | Staples Center, Los Angeles
An event ‘80s metal fans won’t want to miss, the final two shows of Motley Crue’s final tour are scheduled for Los Angeles’ Staples Center this winter. On Dec. 30 and 31, the band will rock hometown crowds with a setlist celebrating the band’s storied 35-year career.
Maroon 5 | Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas
Maroon 5 will return to Mandalay Bay Events Center for the second year in a row to headline two New Year’s Eve concerts at the Las Vegas arena. Adam Levine and co. will play two back-to-back shows on Dec. 30 and 31, emphasizing their pop hits like “Sugar” and “Maps.”
Bruno Mars | The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas
Two years ago, Bruno Mars opened the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ upscale music venue, The Chelsea, with a string of New Year’s Eve concerts. He’ll be back to headline just one show this year, on Dec. 31, in what’s sure to be an up-tempo showcase of Mars’ amazing catalog of pop hits.
Phish | Madison Square Garden, New York
After spending last New Year’s in Miami, Phish will head back north to spend four consecutive nights on stage at New York’s Madison Square Garden. This year’s run will kick off Dec. 30 and spill over into 2016 with shows on New Year’s Day and Jan. 2.
Britney Spears | The Axis at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas
Britney Spears’ Las Vegas residency, Piece of Me, was practically made for New Year’s Eve. The flashy live show, which includes performances on Dec. 30 and 31, features an arsenal of the pop princess’ most adored pop hits along with inspired new choreography, all in a nightclub setting.
Widespread Panic | Fabulous Fox Theatre, Atlanta
Georgia’s own Widespread Panic will be heading home for the holiday season with a three-night stand at Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox Theatre. The group’s annual New Year’s Eve shows are one of the outfit’s most beloved traditions, and will be Widespread Panic’s last live shows until February.
