Black Sabbath Albums
Back in September the self-proclaimed “greatest metal band of all time,” Black Sabbath, announced plans to end its career on a high note. After releasing one final album (whose title is still TBA) and embarking on a major international concert tour in 2016, the band will be hanging up its hat for good.
Formed more than 45 years ago, Black Sabbath has made an undeniable mark on the world of heavy rock music. The group released nearly 20 albums and sold more than 75 million records across the world. Among those were major hits like the multi-Platinum releases “Paranoid” and “Master of Reality,” in addition to a host of live albums that span the band’s lengthy career.
Besides the music, much of the Black Sabbath album art has made its mark on the metal genre. After all, with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne nicknamed the “Prince of Darkness,” it’s no wonder the band’s album art incorporates images that lean toward the occult, like skeletons and fallen angels.
