Shawn Mendes 2016
“Stitches” singer Shawn Mendes has finally announced the dates for his first major headlining international tour. On Jan. 27, the singer took to social media to reveal a list of two dozen performances scheduled across the U.S. and his native Canada for the summer of 2016.

Shawn Mendes Tour Dates to Support Debut Album “Handwritten”
The debut Shawn Mendes album, “Handwritten,” dropped in spring of 2015, and the upcoming dates are still supporting that first studio effort. So far two singles off the record have reached the top 40 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, most prominently “Stitches,” which as of Jan. 27 is sitting at No. 6 on the mainstream pop chart.
Mendes’ most recent single is “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” a duet with Camila Cabello from Fifth Harmony. The track comes off the album “Handwritten Revisited,” which featured a mix of new original tracks and live versions of songs off his debut album.
More Shawn Mendes Tour Dates on the Horizon?
Although the first leg of the Shawn Mendes tour already includes more than two dozen concerts across North America, the singer has hinted that more dates are yet to come. As he’s already announced several international shows, it’s possible he could add more U.S. and Canadian dates to his schedule for 2016.
