It’s 30 years and counting for the quartet known as Bon Jovi, and the New Jersey boys will be on the road for much of 2013 as part of the sprawling ‘Because We Can Tour.’ For the first time ever, the band has begun a tour before the release of a new album.
Their 12th studio release, “What About Now,” will be released on March 12, but fans who have already ventured out to see Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Tico Torres, and David Bryan perform live have gotten a sneak preview of the new tunes. Check out our friends at Eventful to read more about the ever-touring band.
Long-time followers of the group may be surprised when they hear the latest tracks. Guitarist Richie Sambora has said that this time around, they wanted to cover different sounds compared to their last release, “The Circle,” back in 2009. Lyrically, “What About Now” is strongly influenced by universal themes the group witnessed while traveling around the globe in recent years.
Recording hits for over three decades isn’t easy, but by making gradual changes and adjustments, Bon Jovi has been able to continue the success without disappointment. Fans hoping to sing along to classics like “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer” need not fret, as the band is known to cover all the classics during its traditional two-plus hour, production-packed sets.
“What About Now” will be available in three packages including an exclusive platinum package containing an autographed deluxe CD, limited edition t-shirt, and premium “What About Now” iPhone case. And don’t forget to pick up your Bon Jovi tickets today from Vivid Seats.
