Holiday Classic
Not long ago, he was mostly known as the guy who cracked up during sketches on Saturday Night Live, but these days, you can catch talk show host Jimmy Fallon producing some of the best musical content around. Whether he’s teaming up with Justin Timberlake for the “History of Rap,” or rocking out to “Sexy and I Know It,” with The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, Fallon has revitalized NBC’s “Late Night” thanks in part to the endless number of entertaining and unique musical collaborations.
With the holiday season in full swing, booking a guest like Mariah Carey is a no-brainer, but with Fallon and The Roots at the helm, fans of the hit tune, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” were treated to a delightfully fresh rendition of the timeless classic.
Since the release of Carey’s 1994 album, “Merry Christmas,” which featured the ever-popular song, a number of different versions have been produced by a wide range of artists. Check out the videos below, featuring some of our favorite “All I Want For Christmas Is You” covers.
Michael Buble
The charismatic singer, known for his smooth blend of pop and jazz, does just that in his take on the holiday hit.
Justin Bieber (with Mariah Carey)
Dubbed as the “Super Festive!” version of the original, Mariah Carey teamed up with none other than Justin Bieber for an extra special duet that had fans raving.
Lady Antebellum
Proving just how powerful the song truly is, even country favorite Lady Antebellum got in on the fun to put a Southern twist on the melody.
John Mayer
Everyone’s favorite bad boy showcases his soft side in this charming live version that would surely make Carey proud.
My Chemical Romance
Hey, if John Mayer can cover it, so can alternative rockers My Chemical Romance, and this one’s definitely a rendition worth checking out.
Keenan Cahill
You may not recognize the name, but you’ll surely recognize the unofficial King of YouTube Covers, doing what he does best.
One Direction
They’ve yet to cover the entire song, but enjoy this clip of One Direction members honoring their favorite Christmas song.
