First A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder Tour to Launch in Sept. 2015
The hit musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder will be setting off on its first national tour in 2015, just over a year after taking home four Tony Awards at the 2014 ceremony, among them Best Musical. At the time of the announcement on April 13, the Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder tour was set to include runs in 20 cities around the U.S., as well as over a month-long stop in Toronto from May 18-June 26, 2016. The trek is slated to kick off with a performance on Sept. 19 at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, N.Y. The show will remain in the city until Sept. 26, after which it will head west to Chicago’s Bank of America Theatre for two weeks (Sept. 29-Oct. 11). Additional cities featured on the current schedule include Lincoln, Neb. (Oct. 29-Nov. 1), San Francisco (Dec. 1-27), Washington, D.C. (Jan. 13-30), Denver (Feb. 16-28), Tempe, Ariz. (March 15-20), and Houston (May 3-15), among others.
As of June 30, the Gentleman’s Guide to Murder tour cast has not yet been confirmed. Although the venture has only announced the 20 dates, it’s highly likely more will be added as the tour’s start date draws near. The show is simultaneously expected to remain on Broadway when the tour launches.
