    Avicii Final Tour

EDM giant Avicii announced in a letter to his fans that he’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus from the road following his final 2016 tour dates. According to Billboard, the internationally renowned DJ has suffered from a number of health issues in recent years, which helped influence his decision to make his 2016 tour his last.

In his note, Avicii implied that he’ll continue making music without supporting his new releases with live shows. He didn’t completely rule out an eventual return to touring, but it sounds like he’s ready to retire for at least a few years.

At the time Avicii announced his retirement from the road, the Swedish music star only has international concerts booked for the year ahead. It’s possible he’ll add North American dates as a farewell to fans in the U.S. and Canada, especially since the EDC Las Vegas lineup is still pending. Rumored New Avicii Album Expected to Drop in 2016

As of March 29, Avicii has not confirmed whether he’ll be releasing a new album in 2016. Last fall he told fans in a Quora post that a new album is “highly likely” to drop this year, but no more details have been confirmed.

Avicii’s latest full-length album was his sophomore effort “Stories,” which came out last October. So far this year he’s come out with one single, “Taste the Feeling,” but it’s not attached to a new album in any way.
