The year 2015 has been a great one for live entertainment. In music, we saw Taylor Swift’s mammoth 1989 World Tour, a Katy Perry Super Bowl halftime show, and the returns of Justin Bieber and Adele. Comedians Amy Schumer and Kevin Hart ruled stages around the country, and Broadway favorites like Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, and The Lion King kept us on the edge of our seats. Meanwhile, the year in sports highlighted our nation’s best athletes, with notable championship wins for the New England Patriots, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Blackhawks, and Kansas City Royals.
But which 2015 events were really most popular with fans? We looked back at the year, analyzing a combination of data surrounding tour and season schedules, venues, site traffic, and ticket sales, to determine which performers and teams were the most buzzworthy of 2015.
