Bon Jovi Gives Good Reason for 2013 World Tour

November 05, 2012 by Leo

TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT

When you work your way up from the bottom and earn respect the right way, no one can take it away from you, so when you take into account what Bon Jovi has done so far in their career, the name of their latest tour is actually pretty accurate. Just for starters, these rock legends have sold 130 million records worldwide, brought the house down in over 50 countries for the pleasure of over 35 million fans, and reigned in the number one grossing worldwide tour in two out of the past three years. So when Bon Jovi announced that they were set to rock out on the 2013 Because We Can Tour, it sounded pretty legit, and any perception of arrogance was immediately jettisoned in favor of unadulterated excitement.

Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, and Tico Torres have come a long way from Sayreville, New Jersey, and the 2013 Because We Can Tour is set to take them even further. The inimitable quartet will start off in style by melting the winter ice in Canada on February 13th in Montreal, Quebec’s Bell Centre, and then they take off on a trailblazing route that will witness Jersey’s finest  head to Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Australia. Two of the highlights on this epic route will be shows at Ireland’s historic Slane Castle on Saturday June 15th and the bands first concert in Bulgaria at Sofia's National Stadium on May 14th.

It’s a foregone conclusion that fans will turn out in hordes to sing along to hits like “Living on a Prayer,” It’s My Life,” and “Bad Medicine” live in concert, but the 2013 Because We Can Tour will also mark the much-anticipated debut of new material from their upcoming twelfth studio album, What About Now, which set to be released in Spring 2013. The first single, currently slated as “Because We Can,” is set to be released in January 2013, and then followed up by “I Am With You.” With their bevy of crowd favorites being played along with new songs debuting for the first time live,  there’s no question that the band will be inspired to deliver electric performances sure to be remembered.

I should come as no surprise that the band plans to finish out the year with a bang, as Bon Jovi has found an excellent way to put the cherry on top of 2012. Some of the their sensational concert performances are going to debut on the silver screen this fall, as AEG Network Live is set to put “Bon Jovi – Inside Out” in theatres as a special in-theater event. The show will include a “live” Q&A session with the band, and debuts in select U.S. theatres on November 27th. Premium Bon Jovi tickets are available now at Vivid Seats, so act wisely and get your hands on some so you can witness this extraordinary band live in person.
