March 31, 2016 by Alyssa

Storyteller Tour

Hot on the heels of her new album release, Carrie Underwood has announced the 2016 dates for a supporting North American tour. Named after her latest album, the Storyteller Tour is scheduled to launch on Jan. 30 and continue through November, covering more than five dozen cities along the way. Supporting acts for the North American dates will include up-and-coming artists Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers.

According to the official announcement, the Storyteller Tour will feature an in-the-round concert stage, a first for Underwood. With the stage set up in the center of each arena floor, more fans will get a chance to experience her powerful voice in person this time around.

“Storyteller” Marks Underwood’s First New Album in Three Years

Released on Oct. 23, Underwood’s “Storyteller” was the star’s first follow-up to her award-winning 2012 release, “Blown Away.” Long-awaited by fans of the Oklahoma native, “Storyteller” is sure to be a big success among devoted followers and critics alike. The album has already earned positive reviews from Billboard and Entertainment Weekly for its masterful blend of traditional country with modern production styles. And if the success of her new single, “Smoke Break,” is any indication, “Storyteller” will be a commercial success, too. As of Oct. 27, the song is at No. 7 and climbing on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. “Storyteller” is also poised to be her fifth consecutive No. 1 country album.

Carrie Underwood to Host CMA Awards on Nov. 4

For the eighth year in a row, Carrie Underwood will once again team up with fellow country star Brad Paisley for the 2015 CMA Awards this fall. The ceremony will be staged at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 4. Along with her hosting duties, Underwood is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, while her single “Something in the Water” is up for Music Video of the Year. The night will also feature performances from Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Florida Georgia Line, and more.
