CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015
In addition to another round of the popular International Champions Cup, North American soccer fans also have the return of the CONCACAF Gold Cup to look forward to in 2015. Unlike the ICC, which features friendly matches only, much more is at stake when it comes to the CONCACAF Gold Cup, as the tournament serves to determine various regional champions for North America, Caribbean, and Central America.
In an added twist that will take effect beginning with the 2015 edition, the winners of every other CONCACAF Gold Cup will go head-to-head for a spot in the following FIFA Confederations Cup. The United States prevailed in 2013, and will either take on the 2015 winner, or receive an automatic entry if it should claim victory once again.
In another first for this year, CONCACAF Gold Cup action will make its debut in Canada when BMO Field in Toronto hosts a pair of matches in July. The rest of the matchups will take place at U.S. stadiums around the country. Find the full 2015 schedule and CONCACAF Gold Cup tickets here.
