Florence and the Machine Tour Announced for 2016

January 11, 2016 by Alyssa

Florence and the Machine 2016

Beginning in March, Florence and the Machine will pick up its live act once again for a newly announced 2016 tour. The live venture, dubbed the How Beautiful Tour, will travel around South America and Europe before bringing the band to the U.S. in May. While stateside, Florence and the Machine will be headlining a combination of solo arena shows and festivals, including Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival and Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival.

A complete, up-to-date list of Florence and the Machine tour dates for the year ahead is featured at the bottom of this page.

Upcoming Florence and the Machine Tour to Support 2015 Album

The How Beautiful Tour comes in the wake of a banner year for Florence and the Machine. The outfit released its third studio album, “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful,” in May of last year. The release was the band’s first to hit the top of the charts in the U.S., and it landed the band numerous festival headlining slots, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Glastonbury, to name only a few.

Supporting acts for the Florence and the Machine 2016 tour will vary on North American stops. Canadian synthpop star Grimes will bring hits from her newest album, 2015’s critically acclaimed “Art Angels,” to select cities as the opening act. For the remaining shows, Icelandic indie folk group Of Monsters and Men will play ahead of Florence and the Machine.
