Garth Brooks World Tour
Since its kickoff last summer, the Garth Brooks World Tour has been one of the most successful concert ventures in the nation. The country music icon has performed more than 130 concerts over the course of the last year, but the North American leg of his tour isn’t done quite yet.
As of Aug. 17, nine more Garth Brooks concerts have been added to the singer’s 2015 schedule. After a brief end-of-summer break, Brooks and his tourmate, Trisha Yearwood, will return to Texas for a series of shows in Dallas (Sept. 17-22). The couple will later make its first tour stop in Ohio at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena (Oct. 9-10). See the full schedule of upcoming U.S. shows below.
The ongoing world tour was initially supposed to launch in Ireland last year, but since the first Dublin shows were cancelled, Brooks hasn’t added any international concerts to the schedule. For now, it seems the two-time GRAMMY winner is content performing for his U.S. fans.
Garth Brooks Tour Setlists Cover Singer’s Greatest Hits
Though there have been some setlist variations over the course of the tour, Brooks has largely been performing a heavy rotation of his greatest hits on the road. According to user-curated data at setlist.fm, the Oklahoma native’s most performed songs in the last year include several of his No. 1 singles, including “The Dance,” “The Thunder Rolls,” and “Friends in Low Places.”
Some songs off Garth Brooks’ new album, “Man Against Machine,” have also made their way onto more recent setlists from the tour.
Garth Brooks Christmas Album in the Works?
It looks like all the time Brooks has spent touring with Yearwood this past year has only brought the couple closer together. Brooks and Yearwood are working on their first duets album, which will reportedly be a collection of holiday songs. There’s no word yet on whether the record will be out by Christmas 2015, but the new material would be a nice addition to the setlist for any tour dates the singer might announce for the winter.
