Festival Announcement
Southern California will be getting another big music event come September, when the first annual KAABOO Music Festival hits the Del Mar Fairgrounds over the weekend of Sept. 18-20. The three-day event has billed itself as a “new kind of arts and entertainment mix-perience” that will highlight the best in live music alongside all the comforts you can’t find at a typical music festival.
All-Star KAABOO Lineup Topped by No Doubt, The Killers, and Zac Brown Band
The arrival of KAABOO in September will mark the return of three big acts that we’re hoping to see new music from in 2015. Gwen Stefani’s No Doubt is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its breakout album “Tragic Kingdom” this year, but no new album has yet been confirmed for the months ahead. The Killers are also booked to headline KAABOO 2015. While frontman Brandon Flowers announced a new solo album in the works for 2015, the band hasn’t yet revealed plans to drop a follow-up to 2012’s “Battle Born” this year. Zac Brown Band will also co-headline KAABOO 2015 in support of its forthcoming album “Jekyll + Hyde,” due out April 28.
On seven stages over the rest of the weekend, fans can see additional sets from acts like Snoop Dogg, Foster the People, The Roots, Slightly Stoopid, and many more. KAABOO has also promised there will be eight late-night encores from acts featured on the regular lineup, as well as two special sets from Sheryl Crow and Ed Kowalczyk that are only open to VIP passholders.

Joel McHale, Lewis Black Fill Out KAABOO Comedy Lineup
A total of 10 comics have been tabbed for the first KAABOO comedy lineup in 2015, beginning with “Community” star and “The Soup” host Joel McHale. Comedy veterans Lewis Black, Tim Meadows, and Jeff Garlin will also perform stand-up sets, as will contemporary favorites Chris D’Elia, Tig Notaro, and Anthony Jeselnik.
Porta-Potty Ban, Gourmet Food Offerings Promise Unique Festival Experience
As if the music and comedy acts weren’t enough, KAABOO 2015 has promised to give all guests an atypical festival experience, starting with full-service flush restrooms--a welcome change for any seasoned festival attendee. There will also be a selection of gourmet grab-n-go food, local culinary delicacies, and drink options from craft distilleries and breweries. Local and national artists will be selling their crafts at an on-site craft fair, and there will be public art installations to experience on the festival grounds as well.
Grab your KAABOO tickets today to be among the first to experience this new California festival.
