Lionel Richie 2019 Tour Dates

The legendary ballads singer Lionel Richie has announced 2019 tour dates for his tour dubbed “Hello.”

The Tuskegee, Alabama native took to social media to share his 2019 tour dates via Twitter:

The 32-date trek will kick off after Richie performs May 10 at the KAABOO Festival in Arlington, Texas. He will open his tour May 28 at the Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land, Texas. The tour will take Richie across the United States and Canada with tour stops in Highland Parks’ Ravinia Festival, New York’s Radio City Hall, Las Vegas’ Encore Theater, and the famous Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. The tour is set to end on August 30 at the popular Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul.

In 1982, Richie released his self-title studio album kicking off his solo career. The album was jam-packed with hits from, “Truly,” “You Are,” and “My Love.” His first solo studio album peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Billboard. He went on to release various albums from, “Can’t Slow Down,” Dancing on the Ceiling,” and “Louder than Words.”

This Golden Globe award winner has gone on to release multiple chart-topping hit singles such as, “Hello,” “Running with the Night,” “Stuck on You,” and “Endless Love” featuring Diana Ross.

Richie released his latest studio album, Tuskegee, in March 2012. The album included some of his biggest hit singles sung alongside some of the hottest country acts. Some of the country acts included Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Jimmy Buffett, and Jennifer Nettles. The album reached at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at 1 on the US Top Country Albums Billboard.

In 1985, Richie co-wrote the charity single, “We Are the World,” alongside Michael Jackson. The single became the first hit to be certified multi-platinum. The single became a global sensation peaking at No. 1 on charts all over the world.
