February 07, 2019 by Maritza Salazar

Lynyrd Skynyrd 2019 Tour Dates

After an epic 55-year career, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Lynyrd Skynyrd has announced its final tour dubbed Last of the Street Survivors.

The rock band had previously broken the news of their farewell tour in spring of 2018. The band will resume its final tour in spring of 2019 alongside new opening acts.

Early in February the band took to Twitter to share additional tour dates for the new leg of their final trek:

Joining the Jacksonville, Fla. natives on various dates are Bad Company, Hank Williams, Jr. and Cody Jinks on the farewell tour.

The tour will kick off on April 27 at the famous California’s County Music Festival Stagecoach in Indio, Calif. Lynyrd Skynyrd and crew will make their way across the United States touring festivals, arenas, casinos, and pavilions as they make their last tour as intimate and full of excitement for their fans as any tour yet. The band will conclude their tour with a memorable concert on September 28 at The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Ala.

Lynyrd Skynyrd formed in 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida. The band quickly grew to fame with its unique Southern rock genre, memorable performances, and signature lyrics. From their chart-topping singles “Sweet Home Alabama” to later “What’s Your Name” and all-time favorite “Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked its way to the top of the charts globally.

Check out fan favorite,"Sweet Home Alabama," performed live at the Oakland Coliseum Stadium on July 2,1977:
