2016 Tours
We’re still a few months away from 2016, but some of pop’s top stars are already announcing plans to be on the road next summer with brand new concert ventures. As of Oct. 26, we’ve already heard tour announcements from 5 Seconds of Summer and Selena Gomez, but now Twenty One Pilots and co-headliners Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato have also revealed their own plans to pursue live projects in the year ahead.
Twenty One Pilots Announce Emotional Roadshow Tour
Beginning at the end of May, Twenty One Pilots will be back on the road with another huge summer tour. The 2016 Emotional Roadshow Tour will feature nearly 40 North American dates at a healthy mix of outdoor amphitheaters and indoor arenas. The new Twenty One Pilots tour comes on the heels of the band’s Blurryface World Tour, which supported its first chart-topping album of the same name. So far, Twenty One Pilots hasn’t confirmed if it'll be releasing new music with the Emotional Roadshow Tour, but singles off the “Blurryface” album are still big hits. As of Oct. 26, “Stressed Out” is still at No. 4 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
Nick Jonas Reveals Plans for Joint Tour with Demi Lovato
On the morning of Oct. 26, Nick Jonas announced in a radio interview that he and fellow former Disney star Demi Lovato are planning a joint tour to launch next June. Titled Future Now: The Tour, the co-headlining trek will include more than 40 concerts across North America over the course of three months, including most major arenas and a few amphitheaters along the way. Lovato released her new album, “Confident,” a couple of weeks before the tour announcement, and Jonas is reportedly working on a follow-up to his self-titled 2014 album.
If you can’t wait for Future Now: The Tour to launch next summer, Jonas and Lovato will also share the stage at a handful of iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concerts this December. The lineups for each city will vary, but include acts like Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez, One Direction, and many more.
