April 01, 2016 by Alyssa

Paul Simon 2016

On Feb. 22, Paul Simon confirmed details of his upcoming 2016 North American tour. The trek, which will mark his first solo venture in five years, is expected to kick off in April when Simon performs at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, alongside other greats like Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Neil Young, Bonnie Raitt, and many more.

Among the notable stops will be visits to Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl and New York's Forest Hills Stadium, which is reportedly just steps away from Simon's childhood home.

New Album to Accompany Paul Simon Tour in 2016

In addition to launching his first tour in half a decade, Paul Simon is planning on releasing a new album sometime in the spring. The new record will be titled “Stranger to Stranger,” but at the time of his tour announcement, a release date is still pending.

Simon’s most recent studio album, “So Beautiful or So What,” dropped in spring of 2011. His most recent shows have mostly focused on his career greatest hits, including both solo songs and tracks from his time with Simon and Garfunkel.
