RedMare world tour marks Red Velvet’s first United States tour. The female K-Pop group appears very excited about experiencing American culture first hand, expressing it on Naver, Tumblr, and Instagram.
Red Velvet broke into the music scene with their single “Happiness” in 2014. It originally only had four band members, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. Soon after, the girl group added its fifth member, Yeri, and went on to release a debut studio album, The Red in 2015. The group’s first album was a total success, landing the female group at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard World Albums for 2015 and debuting as No. 1 on the Gaon Album Chart in South Korea. Red Velvet has gone on to release hit singles such as, “Automatic,” “Ice Cream Cake,” and fan favorite “Bad Boy.”

In 2017, the female K-pop members released their second studio album, Perfect Velvet. Their second album consists of 9 tracks and landed them as No. 1 of the U.S. Billboard World Albums for the second time.
Red Velvet’s RedMare U.S. tour kicks off on February 8 in Los Angeles in the beautiful Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The female K-pop members will make their way through Dallas, Miami, Chicago and eventually to Newark. The tour will conclude on February 17, 2019 in Newark, N.J. at NJPAC.
