TSO Tour 2016
It simply wouldn’t be the holidays without a North American Trans-Siberian Orchestra tour, and winter 2016 will be no different. Allowing for plenty of planning time as usual, the full TSO Tour 2016 slate was revealed Aug. 15, along with pertinent event details about this year’s shows.
As detailed in the video above, the 2016 Winter Tour will once again be called “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO & More,” a theme that made its debut just a year ago. TSO released a statement regarding their decision to keep it going again this tour:
“The Ghosts of Christmas Eve' was an experiment, to take something that was conceived for TV and try to express that story live on stage. Integrating segments of the TV show, with a live narrator, and full rock band was something TSO has never done. It brought back so many memories to see Ossie Davis and everyone else who helped make that TV special into the annual tradition that it has become.
The overwhelming response from the fans during the 2015 Winter Tour drove the band's decision to take it back out on the road this year. As always we have new artists, new special effects and lots of surprises in store.”
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tour 2016 will kick off on Nov. 17 and continue on until Dec. 31. TSO is comprised of two different touring companies, which allows the band to cover as many cities as possible in a relatively short period of time.
