If rumors are true, we can expect to see David Lee Roth, Michael Anthony, Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen sharing the stage once more.
This American rock band last fully assembled for a Summer Tour 2004, after not having shared the stage together since 1998. Check out "Runnin' with the Devil" featuring Roth on lead vocals, Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Anthony on bass and Alex Van Halen on drums:
Rumors of a possible 2019 Van Halen tour began when David Lee Roth interviewed with Vulture in late 2018 hinting at summer tour dates.
“When we come back through town in the summertime and do the original thing, maybe somewhere sportin’, maybe with somebody famous,” Roth said. “I’ll make sure we get you all tickets so you can see what we do for gainful employment.”
“Because, you know, next time my rock band will be playing the same place that the Yankees play. Okay?”
As Roth kept getting pushed for more details about touring in 2019, he shared that he’s already reached out to other bands about possibly having a role in the tour as well.
While there's no denying the excitement among Van Halen fans about the possibility that the band will get back together this year, whispers of a Van Halen reunion may not come to fruition.
Bassist Michael Anthony recently revealed that he has not had contact with his former bandmates.
“The only comment I have is that I haven’t spoken to any of the guys since we last played together back in 2004," he said.
