The Lion King brings the Pride Lands of Africa to life as young Simba journeys from curious cub to rightful king. After the shattering loss of his father, King Mufasa, and his uncle Scar’s takeover, Simba escapes into exile, finds unlikely friends in Timon and Pumbaa, and learns what it means to take his place in the circle of life. Julie Taymor’s visionary staging blends breathtaking puppetry, masks, and pageantry with vibrant rhythms and soaring melodies by Elton John and Tim Rice. The result is a powerfully visual, heart-stirring spectacle about identity, courage, and coming home that resonates with audiences of every generation.
