Dolly Parton 2016
Country music legend Dolly Parton has a new album and tour on the way for fans in 2016. The trek, dubbed the Pure and Simple Tour, will be Parton’s first major concert venture in more than two decades.
The Pure and Simple Tour will kick off in early June in North Carolina, visiting at least 18 cities over the course of the year. As of April 20, Parton is expected to wrap the trek back home in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., this November.

Dolly Parton’s New Album Will Include New Songs, Plus Familiar Favorites
Dolly’s new album shares a name with her latest tour, and the record, “Pure and Simple with Dolly’s Biggest Hits,” will be a double-disc release. The first half of the album will feature stripped-down new songs, while the other half will deliver new takes on favorites like “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and more.
As of April 20, Parton hasn’t announced the release date for the forthcoming album, but it is expected to drop sometime in 2016. While fans await details on “Pure and Simple with Dolly’s Biggest Hits,” there’s plenty of time to revisit her best songs that are bound to make their way onto her setlists for the 2016 Dolly Parton tour.
