    Tour Announcement

Rising out of the world of Vine stardom, Canadian vocalist Shawn Mendes has announced his first international tour to launch in spring 2015. The rising young star completed his first headlining concerts last fall, but now he’ll branch out to perform in more than a dozen cities around the world starting in April. Check out the full list of North American Shawn Mendes tour dates at the bottom of the page.

The Jan. 20 tour announcement followed the singer’s big reveal that his debut album has finally been completed. Mendes took to Instagram on Jan. 16 to drop the big news to fans, announcing, “This album means the world to me…I’ve never worked so hard on something in my life,” before stating that more details will be revealed before the week is over.

Although the album title and release date are still pending, late last year Mendes told MTV News that the new release should feature some surprises for his fans, including a “rap-sing song.” He’s also promised some more in-depth lyrics to go along with his signature soul-influenced pop style. The first single, “Something Big,” dropped in November, and fans can be sure to hear this and other new tracks during the upcoming Shawn Mendes tour.

Shawn Mendes to Open Taylor Swift Tour Stadium Dates
Before Mendes announced his own headlining trek, Taylor Swift revealed that the Vine star will be a featured guest for 24 dates on her 1989 World Tour. This will include performances at major stadiums in cities like Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Vancouver, San Diego, and Atlanta. It will also give Mendes a chance to headline the Rogers Centre in his hometown of Toronto on Oct. 2-3. Secure your seats to see Mendes open the Taylor Swift tour in 2015.
