2008 MLB All-Star Game InformationThe 2008 All-star game will be the 79th exhibition between the players of the National League and the American League. These are the two leagues that comprise the Major League baseball and the teams are all set to fight each other for the championship in the upcoming season. The game is scheduled to be played at Yankee Stadium come July 15, 2008. The Yankee Stadium is situated in Bronx, New York. This is the home stadium of the New York Yankees who belong to the American league. Since 1977 this will be the first game hosted by the Yankees. It was after a lot of discussion the game was decided to be played at Yankee stadium. The announcement that the game will be held here was made by Bud Selig, MLB commissioner and Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City. The 2008 season is also the last time the Yankees will play in the stadium before being shifted to a new venue for the 2009 season.
